How to Mend a Heart Break: Day 10
Gratitude. Heart break is easy to sink into. I can feel lonely, helpless, afraid, angry and sad. Those emotions, while necessary, are not how I want to feel all the time. My simplest cure for pulling myself out of the “woe is me” state is gratitude. At any moment I’ll ask myself what I’m grateful for and answer it. Sometimes it’s something big and sometimes it’s something small (like a hair tie).
Currently, I’m grateful for the break up. I love how it is a chance to dig deep within ourselves, to learn and to grow. I’m realizing so much about myself that I still want to change and had stopped really working on. It is a time for me to reflect back and move forward with courage and strength. I get to put myself first (which I should have been doing all along).
I’ve been working on my business more, reading books and being super kind and gentle with myself. I’ve allowed the tears to fall and have felt the healing happening from each tear shed. I’ve looked around and asked myself what more could I let go of. And, I’ve let go. For all of this, I am GRATEFUL.
