How to Mend a Broken Heart: Day 15
SHARE. Find that one friend who will listen to you and tell your story. Or anyone who will just listen. Get it off your chest. Don’t skimp on the details, tell someone what happened from start to finish.
Today, I shared with my hairdresser and it felt so good. She commiserated and it was wonderful. I will say, she’s also an extremely positive person and that definitely helps! (You don’t want to share with someone who will be a Debbie Downer or not agree with you.)
Today was also the first day that I really felt great 95% of the day. Heck, there weren’t any tears shed today. It doesn’t mean I don’t miss having him in my life. It doesn’t mean that “I’m over it.” It means….I didn’t cry!! (On a side note: I almost cried over my son playing soccer and his Dad not seeing it….there is always the dead husband to cry over!)
Who can you share your story with? How will it feel when you’ve shared all the details? What would you hope to gain from sharing? Have you cried today? How are things working out for you? On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, how did you feel today? Let me know, peeps! I love hearing from you! If you haven’t reached out….WHAT’S STOPPING YOU?
I’m a phone call away….the first call is ALWAYS complimentary and helping YOU build your solid foundation, find your silver linings and live a life full of gratitude is what my life purpose is all about!
